What’s your favorite Halloween candy? You might have guessed that my favorites include chocolate and peanut butter! Yep – I love peanut butter cups and pieces so much that I made this layered peanut butter chocolate bark. It’s chocolate on peanut butter on chocolate on peanut butter with a bonus layer of Reese’s Puffs Cereal for extra flavor and crunch. It’s spooky, scary good!
Peanut Butter Chocolate Cereal Bark
Ingredients
10 ounces vanilla-flavored candy coating (almond bark), chopped
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
4 cups Reese’s® Puffs® cereal
1 bag (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
10 miniature chocolate peanut butter cups, cut in half
1/2 cup candy-coated peanut butter pieces
Directions
Line a pan with cooking parchment paper or waxed paper; set aside.
In a large microwave safe bowl, microwave almond bark on High, 1 minute to 1 minute 30 seconds, stirring every 30 seconds or until smooth. Stir in 1/4 cup peanut butter until well blended. Stir in cereal until well coated. Spread into a single layer on prepared pan. Refrigerate 10 minutes or until set.
In a medium microwave safe bowl, heat semisweet chocolate chips on High, 1 minute to 1 minute 30 seconds, stirring every 30 seconds or until smooth. Stir in 1/2 cup peanut butter until well blended.
Spoon melted chocolate mixture over chilled cereal layer; spread evenly. Sprinkle with peanut butter cups and pieces.
Refrigerate about 1 hour or until chocolate is set. Removed from pan; cut or break into pieces.
