Smoky Apple Cider is our new favorite sipping cocktail. The drink starts with a shot of brandy and a splash of mezcal, and is finished with hard apple cider. Mezcal imparts an intense, smoky flavor to the cocktail.
Like tequila, mezcal is made from the agave plant. There are many different types of mezcal to choose from. Darker mezcal is aged longer and generally has a much stronger flavor. Want to learn more about this spirit? Serious Eats has a great mezcal guide.
